Tell Your Senator that SB 5586 Hurts Washington Jobs!

Washington strongly supports its workers in the trade union movement and incubates industries that boost the economy and provide high-quality jobs.  This includes companies in the life-sciences industry which rely on Washington’s labor unions to provide reliable, high-skilled labor to build and retrofit state-of-the-art research and manufacturing facilities where treatments and cures are produced.

However, some in the Washington legislature are considering SB 5586 which would threaten the biotech industry and over 14,000 jobs they provide in the state.  This bill requires the disclosure of federally protected trade-secret information that would have no benefit to patients and has the potential to increase healthcare costs.

This legislation has unintended consequences that could threaten good paying Washington jobs and decrease access to medicines.

Tell your state senator today that a vote for SB 5586 is a vote against hard-working Washingtonians!
